My logo is on all of my floor plans, is this ok?
No, all logos must be removed from floor plans prior to submission. Submissions containing logos will not be accepted. Remove all identifying information!
How do you calculate the square footage area of a house?
The calculation of square footage encompasses all finished areas (net square footage), measured from the interior surface of the exterior walls. Unfinished spaces, such as portions of a basement, are excluded from this measurement
I entered a project last year, and it did not become a finalist. Can I re-submit the same entry?
Yes, provided the project meets all eligibility criteria, it may be resubmitted, unless it was a finalist in the same category within the past three years, in which case it is not eligible for resubmission.
Do my co-submitters have to be members?
Yes, please note that only members of GOHBA are eligible to submit entries for the GOHBA Awards. If your partners wish to be named as co-submitters on your project, they must also become members of GOHBA. For further information, please refer to the Membership Requirements under "Eligibility" for more details.
What happens if my entry is the only one submitted in a category?
We will review your submission to determine whether it may be combined with a similar category for the purposes of staging a competition. If no comparable projects are identified, a refund will be issued.
